Jack Azimi is the Founder and Principal of 1.618 Capital Corp, bringing over three decades of experience across global investments, capital markets, commodities, and large-scale project development. Over the course of his career, he has been directly involved in the structuring, financing, and execution of projects with an aggregate value exceeding several billion dollars, spanning industrial, infrastructure, and resource-based sectors across multiple jurisdictions.
Jack has played a key role in the growth and public market positioning of several companies, including involvement in taking businesses public and supporting capital formation across a wide range of industries. His expertise lies in identifying high-value opportunities, structuring complex transactions, and aligning capital with strategic assets and scalable platforms.
In addition to his capital markets background, Jack brings over 16 years of experience in global commodities trading, with exposure across energy, metals, minerals, and agricultural markets. He has developed long-standing relationships with producers, refineries, financial institutions, and institutional counterparties worldwide, enabling access to opportunities across global supply chains.
At 1.618 Capital Corp, Jack is responsible for setting the firm’s strategic direction, overseeing capital deployment, and leading high-value transactions. Mike Azimi is the Co-Founder and President of 1.618 Capital Corp, bringing extensive experience in global commodities, project execution, and operational leadership. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in the development and delivery of large-scale projects valued in the billions of dollars, including industrial, infrastructure, and resource-focused initiatives across multiple regions.
Mike’s expertise is rooted in execution—translating strategic opportunities into structured, deliverable outcomes. He has worked closely with operators, suppliers, and project stakeholders to advance opportunities from initial concept through to implementation, with a strong focus on operational discipline, logistics coordination, and performance management.
With over 16 years of experience in commodities trading, Mike has a deep understanding of global supply chains, trade flows, and market dynamics across energy, metals, minerals, and agricultural sectors. His ability to manage complexity across multiple jurisdictions and counterparties is central to the firm’s operational success.
As President of 1.618 Capital Corp, Mike oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations, execution strategy, and transaction management. He ensures that investments are implemented with precision, efficiency, and alignment to the firm’s broader objectives, maintaining a strong focus on consistency, reliability, and disciplined capital deployment.

Solomon Joshua serves as Associate Portfolio Manager at 1.618 Capital Corp, where he plays a key role in supporting capital allocation decisions across multiple sectors, including commodities, real estate, and technology. His responsibilities include evaluating investment opportunities, developing market-driven strategies, and contributing to portfolio positioning based on macroeconomic trends and sector-specific dynamics.
Solomon graduated from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management in 2024 with a focus on Economics and is currently enrolled in the CFA Program. His academic foundation, combined with practical exposure to global markets, supports a disciplined and analytical approach to investment decision-making.
At 1.618 Capital, Solomon is actively involved in commodities market analysis, hedging strategies, and price forecasting across energy, metals, and agricultural sectors. He works closely with senior leadership to assess risk, identify opportunities, and support the structuring of investments aligned with the firm’s long-term strategy.

Mr. Dennis Shu leads agricultural trading, real estate coordination, and supply chain execution at 1.618 Capital Corp, overseeing day-to-day operations across sourcing, logistics, and transaction delivery. In addition to his responsibilities within agricultural markets, Dennis is actively involved in supporting the firm’s real estate investment activities, coordinating operational aspects of acquisitions, development processes, and asset-level execution. Mr. Aziz Khorashi serves as head of operations for Africa at 1.618 Capital Corp, bringing over 25 years of experience in global commodities trading, with a specialized focus on African markets. He plays a critical role in shaping the firm’s Africa strategy, identifying and advancing opportunities across agricultural commodities, metals, and resource-driven sectors.
With deep regional expertise and long-standing relationships across multiple jurisdictions, Aziz provides direct access to supply at origin and supports the execution of transactions within complex and often underdeveloped markets. His experience spans sourcing, negotiation, and on-the-ground coordination, enabling the firm to operate effectively across diverse regulatory and commercial environments.
Fluent in Swahili, French, and several local African dialects, Aziz’s ability to engage across cultures and markets strengthens the firm’s presence and execution capabilities throughout the continent. ADMINISTRATION
Mr. Manav Manta supports 1.618 Capital Corp’s global platform through operations, administration, and coordination, with a dedicated focus on India and regional market engagement. He plays a key role in managing internal processes, supporting transaction workflows, and ensuring operational discipline across the firm’s activities.
A core aspect of his role includes liaising with investee companies, partners, and local stakeholders, facilitating communication, coordination, and alignment across investments. Through this function, Manav helps maintain continuity between capital deployment and on-the-ground execution.
